In 2008 LaTour Hotels and Resorts had the opportunity to expand the brand in Southeast Asia, in the most popular destination in the entire region - Phuket. The first opportunity came in a Joint Venture agreement with IndoChine Group, the famous Restaurant, Club and Entertainment company from Singapore. This first venture was for LaTour to oversee the management of the IndoChine Resort and Villas. The resort is situated on a beautiful hillside overlooking the Anadman Sea, and exclusive Kalim Beach. Featuring 85 deluxe condominium villas, pool villas, large residences, hip individual town homes and very modern Thai studio suites, along with spa, health club, kids club, squash court and tennis court, the property is fast becoming known as one of the nicer yet newer entrants into the deluxe resort market on Phuket. Added to it, the IndoChine Restaurant, Club and Entertainment Complex is unique to the entire region, offering the world famous cuisine of the IndoChine Group coupled with a active and party like atmosphere, the overall resort is certain to be a hit for years to come for visitors or locals on the island.
The next LaTour property was Grove Gardens Residences, a luxury 36 unit located in Phuket's Cape Yamu region which offers town home accommodations with private pools, three hole golf, spa, restaurant and bar, as well as beautiful landscaping surrounding a lovely pool and activities area, central to the resort.

Vernon Purcell has been awarded the silver medal from ARDA (American Resort Development Association) in both 2001 and 2008 for his outstanding accomplishments and contributions in the hospitality industry. He has spent over 25 years dedicated to the travel and hospitality industry working for such companies as RCI Management, Fairfields Resorts and TriCom Management. Vernon has held various leadership positions in both timeshare and hotels including GM and Directors positions. Vernon has also lived and worked in both the east and west coast of the U.S. including Puerto Rico, as well as worked in Mexico and East Asia. Vernon specializes in Resort transitions along with resort openings for both HOA and Developer operated. He holds various hotel and resort certifications, including several different Community Association Institute certifications.
